Wine: Sterling Vintner’s Collection Pinot Grigio (White)
From intimate terrace dinners to after-work aperitifs, Sterling Vineyards shines anywhere. Our Sterling Vintner's Collection offers distinctive, hand-crafted varietal wines to be enjoyed every day. Many of our grapes come from our Paris Valley Ranch Vineyard near Monterey Bay, where the warm sun is tempered by cool coastal breezes and fog, extending the growing season for optimum varietal character and balance. This region's diverse climate and soils offer each grape variety the precise conditions it loves best. Winemaker Joe Kid produces Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, and Zinfandel, crafting each wine to pair deliciously with a wide range of cuisines.

Refreshing and fruity, our Sterling Vintner's Collection Pinot Grigio has peach, melon, and kiwi expression accented by honeysuckle, mineral, and spice. A healthy dash of Gewürztraminer adds even more appealing spice, making this wine delightful to pair with a great variety of lighter appetizers.

Vibrant fruit and bright citrus make our 2013 Pinot Grigio an ideal wine for a hot summer day. Crisp green apple and grapefruit form the backbone for this refreshing white wine. On the palate, the fruit flavors have a pleasant supple viscosity followed by a long, crisp finish. The lively acids and refreshing, clean flavors are perfect chilled and served with summer picnics and fresh poached fish.

I received a wonderful wine gift-basket for Christmas and this Pinot Grigio was one of the wine selections.

I’m not much of a white fan but hubby is – I’m constantly searching for a white we can both enjoy! This was pretty decent but still not really to my palate.

The Pinot Grigio has a bright and clear pale gold color and it tasted fruity but very acidic, very sharp on my tongue. Hubby told me he enjoyed it but I was not a fan.
