Wine: Piesporter Michelsberg (white)
Piesporter Michelsberg QbA is a beautifully fragrant, medium-bodied wine with upfront fruit that continues to develop on the palate. Made from Riesling and Müller-Thurgau grapes, hints of peaches and green apples are balanced perfectly with crisp acidity to provide a clean and fresh finish. Piesporter Michelsberg is also available as Kabinett, Spätlese and Auslese.

Color: very light yellow
smell: faintly fruity
taste: faint but fruity, it tastes like a lightly spiced peach or apricot

very light. slightly sweet, slightly spicy but very light.

I really enjoyed this Piesporter! I’ve never tried a Piesporter before and this was an unexpected treat.

I discovered this Piesporter while wine shopping for Christmas. A stranger saw me looking for Reisling and suggested this Piesporter – raved about it, in fact. He was so complementary that I decided to buy a bottle. I’m so glad I did!

The Piesporter tasted very…light. It’s slightly sweet, slightly spicy but still very light. I really enjoyed the flavor and the lightness.

I didn’t pair this with any foods – just a light snack of cheese and crackers while sipping and enjoying the Piesporter with my husband. This wine is going on the “keeper” list. 🙂
