Sourced from the South Island of New Zealand, this Sauvignon Blanc exhibits complexity and a vibrant zing. Flavors of Meyer lemons and Key limes integrate with hints of grapefruit, gooseberry and citrus, culminating in a long, creamy finish. Long, cool seasons in New Zealand’s Marlborough region allow our grapes to mature slowly and gain character and complexity. The grapes are harvested at night and gently crushed before undergoing cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks. An extended fermentation sur lie adds richness and softness, complementing the fruit’s natural zest and acidity.
This vibrant and complex Sauvignon Blanc bursts with flavors of Key Limes, white nectarines, grapefruit and gooseberry leaving a well-balanced finish.
New Zealand’s Marlborough region has a cool climate and long growing seasons which allow the grapes to mature slowly, enhancing character and complexity. We work with growers in the Wairau and Awatere Valleys to explore the different soil profiles
and micro climates of the region.

This wine is delicious with sushi, grilled sea bass or Asian chicken
My husband and I received this bottle of Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc as a gift from a friend. Hubby is bigger fan of whites than I (said that before, lol) so he was more excited than I was.
We decided to have a nice quite evening on the deck with dinner and this bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. I decided to pair it with baked chicken, rice pilaf and baked shredded Brussels Sprouts.
The Cupcake is a beautiful [very] pale yellow/gold color. It smelled of a delicious mixture of fruits. The Cupcake was surprisingly lightly sweet with a fruity but tart taste. I was expecting something much drier than this so I was pleasantly surprised. Very refreshing.
I do think we will try this one again.
