I was rather excited about Legal Wolf’s Mate: the blurb seemed right up my alley so its the only reason I read this anthology. I’ve not read a lot of Eve Langlais lately as the last few books by her that I’ve read have been more miss than hit for me.
I was really, really hoping that Legal Wolf’s Mate would change that for me… It did and it didn’t at the same time.
In fact, I enjoyed most of the story…until we got near the end. The end kind of ruined the story for me: View Spoiler » I would have been ok with the story as it ended if the text had have been more forthcoming. I disliked not being in on the joke and [as a reader] I felt View Spoiler »
By the end, I was disappointed but the read WAS entertaining and I did laugh out loud a few times.
